Tiger Adventure Vehicles Hosted First Annual 4×4 RV Retreat at Ted Turner Reserve’s Vermejo
Tiger customers, along with Scott and Courtney Humbaugh (owners of Tiger Adventure Vehicles), recently had the unique opportunity to participate in the first annual Tiger Retreat at Ted Turner Reserve’s Vermejo property (550,000 acres) and known as “the jewel of northern New Mexico” near Raton.
The Tigers drove 90-miles of overland trails through Vermejo in their 4×4 Tiger RVs, learned about the history of Vermejo and northern New Mexico, the Turner history on the property, and Ted Turner’s dedication to conservation since the 1990’s (land, bison and everything at Vermejo). The group camped and boondocked throughout Vermejo from near the bison corrals to Merrick Lake complete with a bison and fish fry dinner to the lower Spring Canyon with charcoal kilns dating back to the 1800’s.
Scott Humbaugh says, “Every Tiger customer left saying that it was a once in a lifetime experience! We are grateful to Teddy Turner, his son, Robert Turner, and the staff at Vermejo for providing this amazing adventure for our Tiger RV customers.” Ted Turner’s son, Teddy, is a Tiger Vehicles customer. His father, Ted Turner, was the largest private landowner in the United States and now his children and grandchildren are taking care of the properties and continuing his conservation legacy.
