Born for the Wild.
Hand-built in Columbia, South Carolina, the Bengal offers unparalleled craftsmanship, secure handling, and off-road performance.
One of nature’s most beautiful animals, the tiger is a universal symbol of strength, agility, and power. These are the characteristics we embed in every Tiger Adventure Vehicle we build. With true off-road, 4×4 capabilities and a sturdy, self-contained living area, this isn’t your average RV. From the wheels up, Tigers are rugged enough to reach vistas off the beaten path, and comfortable enough to keep you there.
Originally developed in Colorado and now hand-built in South Carolina and Georgia, Tigers have journeyed worldwide, from the Arctic Circle to the tip of Patagonia, to the mountains of Mongolia and the sands of the Middle East. Offering exceptional versatility and quality, Tiger Adventure Vehicles make a statement wherever they roam. Most importantly, they offer the freedom to explore and enjoy an unparalleled overland lifestyle.
The Bengal Tiger
Since 1991 the Bengal has remained the gold standard for adventure vehicles, offering the comfort and convenience of a walk-though RV with the off-road 4×4 performance required to carry the Tiger name.
All Bengals start on your choice of Ford, Chevrolet, or Ram one-ton 4×4 truck chassis, with the option of standard, extended/double, or crew cabs, and gasoline or diesel engines. From there, we build a lightweight but durable aluminum coach frame, surrounding it with wood, fiberglass, and insulation. The end result is a sturdy, all-season cabin fix-mounted directly to the truck chassis. With a convenient pass-through beneath the overhead bed, owners can move between the truck cab and Tiger coach easily without having to exit the vehicle, an especially useful feature in inclement weather.
Inside, the Bengal features a high roof-line (10-ft, 6-inches) and interior ceiling height (6-feet, 5-inches) to accommodate taller owners. It has an open, living-room style floor plan with a full-size overhead bed and a fold-out L-shaped couch made of automotive-grade vinyl. Every Tiger features a full galley kitchen with a composite countertop, solid maple wood cabinets, and durable vinyl flooring. The Bengal features an enclosed wet bath, with a full-size toilet, handheld shower head, and sink. All Bengals come standard with 400watts of solar, 400AH of AGM batteries, a rooftop air conditioner, and a 2000 watt inverter.
Tiger customers can choose from a variety of interior shades, colors, and finishes when ordering a Bengal.
The Bengal has an open-galley layout with a recessed 2-burner stove, a large molded-in sink with single lever faucet, and lots of counter space. The two-way compressor refrigerator, with freezer compartment provides 4.3 cubic feet of space. A microwave is standard, with an oven as available options.
The Bengal features a wet bath, which contains the shower, toilet, and sink all in one room. The room is lined with fiberglass sheeting throughout, and features a porcelain toilet, sink/shower combination, vanity, LED lighting, and exhaust fan.
The Bengal comes standard with four-wheel drive and skid plates, and maintains the high ground clearance characteristic of a truck chassis. Standard on most chassis configurations are all-terrain tires. The coach is completely integrated onto the chassis using approximately 30 different attachment points. Upgraded suspension systems, a front bumper/brush guard, winch, and halogen off-road lights are offered as options.
The Bengal has maintenance-free AGM, or lithium, batteries with a total of 220 amp hours. Optional is a second set of batteries for a total of 440-AH. A 100w solar panel helps keep the batteries topped off. Additionally, a Cummins Onan generator is provided for additional power needs, including running the air conditioner, microwave, or charging the batteries. A larger solar array is also available.
